Homemade Dryer Sheets

Homemade Dryer Sheets

Fabric softener and dryer sheets are full of chemicals… Ditch that fabric softener and those store bought dryer sheets.

Supplies
Vinegar
Sealable glass container
Fabric scraps (or old dishtowels, old sheets, bed linens, t-shirts, etc)
Your favorite essential oil

Directions
Cut some squares out of your fabric scraps. Use a pinking shear if you don’t plan on
sewing or serging the edges. This will prevent most of the fraying.

Mix up your DIY Softening Solution: 1/2 cup of Vinegar & 8-10 drops of your favorite essential oil(s). Pour your ‘personalized’ scented softening solution into the resealable
container.

Add your fabric squares and let them absorb the vinegar/oil mix.

Flip the container over to mix it up. Grab a couple squares, ring out the excess liquid,
and throw ’em into the dryer with your clothes (I use about 4-6 per large load).

The best part is .. after the load is dry, just pull out your squares, throw ’em back in the container, and let them absorb the vinegar/oil mix again!
